Our Story

2025 – Another great year for Spilltek growing both sales our customer base. Product offering increased to over 12,000 lines ensuring we stay ahead and able to offer our customers the products they need on time every time.

2022 – We took the decision to rebrand the business to reflect our current product offering, the company name was changed to Astra Supplies Ltd and our website was redesigned and relaunched as Spilltek (spilltek.co.uk) offering over 10,000 products lines providing our customers both existing and new a convenient one-stop shop for all their spill control & containment requirements

2019 – Was yet another record sales year as we continued building client relationships and further increased and product range to include a comprehensive range of health, safety & ppe workwear products. Having forged good relationship with the UK’s leading  manufactures and trade supplies over the last 10 years we were in a position to negotiate the best possible terms which allowed us to pass those huge savings on to our faithful customer base.

2015 – Was a record sales year thanks to our continually growing customer base which has also grown five-fold since we started trading. Further product lines added such as hazardous storage cabinets.

2012 – Increased our product range further to include drum & IBC spill pallets, bunded floors & spill trays. This enabled us to secure many supply contracts in both public & private sectors. Our website now offered over 3000 products.

2010 –  New ranges added to accommodate our rapidly growing customer base. These included our still popular Spill Kits, Marine Booms, Spill Mats & Drain protection. The new products were added to our website taking our online catalogue offering to over 1000 products. We expanded our delivery options to cover the whole of the UK mainland to further increase growth.   

2008 – AS Trading was established in Grays, Essex and operated from a small home office. Primarily supplying businesses across the South of England with our range of Spilltek absorbents, a product range that is still one of our most popular today. Our first ecommerce website was launched specialising solely on the Spilltek product range.
